Thank you for the opportunity to introduce Security Concepts Limited, and to provide you with an overview of our products and services.

In 2000, Neil Sharpe (our Founding Director) with years of experience in the NZ Fire Service (12 years), NZ and British law enforcement agencies (6 years), and the NZ Security Industry (1995 onwards), determined that there was a particular need for a company to specialise in the top end of the residential and commercial Security/CCTV market where integrity, innovation and performance are paramount, with a special emphasis on personal security within the home and high level property protection in businesses.

From this need Security Concepts Ltd was born with Tim Orr coming on board as our Technical expert and No 1 installer. Tim is also a registered Electrician (11 years) and as such and with his electronics experience in security (10 years), is qualified to an NZQA level 4 standard in electronic security.

In the last 5 years we have designed and provided the most technically advanced 'Supersystems' to some of the most prestigious homes and commercial premises in the Country. For reasons of security and ethics, we are unable to state names in this profile, however we are able to provide references if required for commercial installations.

In mid 2003 Tim Orr became a co-director of the company, in charge of Security Technical Services.

In April 2006 Security Concepts combined with B & T Electrical Ltd and we now also provide a comprehensive Electrical design and installation service!

Barrie Wide and Tony Kirman are both Registered Electricians with over 50 years of combined experience and are also very skilled (and Licensed) Security Systems Technicians.

In November 2007 Melanie Worthington joined the team as a sales representative. Melanie came to us after six years as a sales representative with Clipsal, and as such brought with her extensive product knowledge. She handles both electrical and security sales.

The technical team have many years of experience between them installing Security, Access and CCTV systems, as contractors to large companies prior to joining SCL and since joining us. This experience has been gained in both national and international projects, and high spec security installations for prisons and other government projects in NZ.

Therefore, with our combined expertise in our core business of Security and Electrical and our association with Aletro Ltd, a leading Audio Visual and Automation Company, we can offer a total solution package to suit any requirement.

Security Concepts Ltd has developed a strong market share by providing quality, technologically superior designs that work! Because we are not aligned with any particular security supplier, we are able to research the market and offer you the best products and systems to suit the requirements of your project. This enables us to design your systems based upon what is best suited to you.

We place special emphasis on, and take pride in our technical and after-sales support services.

For your piece of mind we hold Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance. We are also fully Government licensed under the New Zealand Private Investigators and Security Guards Act and are Corporate Members of the New Zealand Security Association and Site Safe.
